Christopher Smith is a lecturer for the Writing & Linguistics department at Georgia Southern University's Statesboro campus. He has a broad range of interests, which have been reflected in the courses he's taught, including Zines and Zine Culture, Samurai Jack and film genre, and all manner of technical writing courses. At GSU, Chris is a co-director of fledge: a journal of exceptional first-year writing and the First-Year Writing Awards. He is also the Editor-in-Chief of Quarter Press, which publishes illustrated zines and booklength projects with fantastical elements. One day, he hopes to teach a course on writing for video games and / or how to write / design small business' social media. His fiction has appeared in Pindeldyboz, Pear Noir!, and most recently in Psyched Zine. When not teaching or writing, he enjoys designing tarot cards and enamel pins, walking through cemetaries with his wife and children, and eating at the wide variety of restaurants that Savannah, GA has to offer.
