Our Keynote Speaker: Sara Wigal is an Associate Professor and Director of Publishing at Belmont University, where she leads one of the nation's few undergraduate publishing programs, preparing students for careers in the book industry. She is also the Executive Director of WriterFest Nashville, a conference for writers of book, song, and screen, and serves as Executive Director of Ami McConnell Literary Agency. A longtime advocate for the literary community, Sara has held several leadership roles with Nashville's Next Chapter Society and founded the Nashville Publishing Meetup, now known as WriterFest Pros. As a literary agent and publishing professional, she develops events, mentors writers, and supports initiatives that connect authors with readers. Her work has appeared in Library Journal, Publishers Weekly, Writer's Digest, The Tennessean, and various literary journals. An aspiring historical fiction novelist and personal essayist, Sara is passionate about helping writers navigate the publishing landscape and build successful creative careers.​
